I have stepped into the first month of my retirement. I visited or called many of my friends told them about my retirement and some of them looked at me like could not believed I am retired.
Some curious friends asked me how I pass my time after retirement? I could understand why they asked because I have spend 38 years working 9 – 5 with daily routine of traffic jam… go to office. … work work work,… meeting…..meeting… etc Now for a certain, no need to do the routine 9 – 5 anymore.
To be honest, for the first couple of days, I woke up about the same time I did when I was working 9 – 5 and almost drove my car out and realised I do not have to go to office. huh..huh..
I spend most of my November days clearing all my incomplete administrative stuff like clear hp bills and did nothing serious about work. I just want to relax and take a break from all these work hectic and most of the time adjusting myself to this abnormal routine. No more traffic jam for me as I go out of my house only during off peak hours…
Then I began to do some serious thinking about my post retirement lifestyle. Of course, I like to stay with on my pre-retirement lifestyle but the reality is I am now a retiree with no more long term employment. I go a couple of offer for a 1 – 2 years employment but to be posted in China, Thailand or Singapore. I declined the offer as I just wanted to take a break from routine 9 – 5
