Does loading speed help in Page Ranking?

There has been some talk fo weeks now that the search engine is considerating (or already implemented) to improve customer experience with their searches in their search engine for faster loading time of their searches. What it meant is that those closely competing website has to compete to stay in page #1 with addtional quality in them i.e. loading speed.

I am not sure how these new rules really workeds but I benefited alot from it with my Total Quality Management Blog http://tqmcasestudies.com with keyword “total quality management”. it used to be in google page# 4 but has moved up to page#2 this week.

What has changed to my website?  Nothing with the content, except that I changed to a qulaity host when it has its promotion of $9.95 per year hosting.  After the changed, I could notice the big difference with the loading speed. This is a big pleasant surprise for me because I did it for mere a trial as my TQM Blog has been slow in loading and I just switch to a quality host for test it out.

As a result of better page raning, I receive more click to the advertisement in the website which is obviously true due to high traffci received. Thanks to the quality $9.95 per year hosting, I got my double joy when my new SWOT blog also moved from page 2 to page #1

Is that coincident or the loading speed really help in page ranking ???  You decide !!!
