With today’s online air ticket booking, the fares varies from day to day for the same flight and destination. If you have a flexible day of travel, then picking the lowest airfare is very meaningful because you can use the saving and spend on the trip itself. However, you may have experienced finding a low airfare by going through the flying date can be quite time consuming especially when the booking website is congested with traffic. Be it Airasia, MAS, Jet Star or Firefly, all of them have similar problem i.e. slow internet speed that causes slow in responding with the online booking webpages.

I have discover an online tool that allows you to have a span of 30 days of airfare for both the destination. It has color quoting that indicate the lowest fare in the selected month. So, one your have identify the date for the lowest fare which is green color, click on it to select for departure and return dates until it turn grey in color. Then click on the “Book Now” icon and you will be lead to the airline online booking webpage. From the airline online booking webpage, proceed according to the procedure for each airlines.

One setback though, if you decided to look at other dates other those displayed, there is no date selection for you to do it. You have to click on the back arrow of your browser to get back to where you came from.

Nevertheless, it is still a good low fare finder so far I came across

Body Detox for Healthy Life is one essential activities everyone should performed. Unfortunately, many of us do not pay attention or have no time to perform such an activity. Many of us do carried out regular medical check up or at the least, perform a blood test. While some are able to interpret the test result, many does not act on them for borderline cases. One key reasons is that most people like you and me does not feel the urgency of a body detox for a healthy life until something bad happened.

What is Body Detox

Generally, Body Detox is a procedure that allow your body system to get a chance to cleanse itself through some control diet program and some amount of exercise. Control diet does not meant in anyway let your body go into hunger but consume nutritious food that is required by the body system. Regular food intake is strictly prohibited to take the cleansing effectively.

A body detox program I took part on 20-22 May 2011 in a resort near Port Dickson was one body cleansing program that I have most benefited. The program schedules covered the understanding of the 12 systems in our body. Then the nutrition requirement for each system as an preventive measures. With the understanding, I am now aware of the regular food intake into my body are poisoning my body system for a fact that most of my food intake contain toxin which is absorbed into our body system.

During the 3 days Body Detox program, the control diet help us to allow our body to dispersed the regular “waste” from the regular food intake while we consumed nutrition and fibre that are healthy for the body.  The morning and in-between tea breaks were served with wheat-grass while the lunch and dinner were served with wheat-grass + fibre. According to the camp instructor, these food intake will help to “loosen” the residue in our body especially in the big intestine. The objective is to keep our body lively with sufficient nutrition and pass out the long stayed “friend” called “mucoid plague”.

What is a Mucoid Plugue?

As defined in the Wikipedia, Mucoid Plague are residue that has been stored in our body system that could not be passed out during our normal toilet routine. Over time, it has formed a layer of substance that is stuck to the wall of the big intestine. Due to this layer of substance in the intestine, it has obstructed the normal function of the intestine i.e. to absorb nutrion for the body and to move  the regular waste out of the body.

During the Detox Camp, I managed to pass out my mucoid plague on the 2nd day though it was not the full scale mucoid plague . An elaborated mucoid plague can be seen at this link .

The 3 days body detox program has given me a very educational input to my healthy life that I am now aware of the essentials to keep a healthy lifestyle. There is a Chines proverb that says ” Trouble came from the mouth, Poison go to the mouth” . So, all the toxin that accumulated in the body are due to intake of unhealthy food.

The end result of the body detox program has reduced my weight by about 2 KG and my blood pressure drop from 161 to 133  which is the side benefit of this body detox program. Some participant did an extended body detox program to achieve a slimming objective.

There was one over-sized lady who loss 19KG, came back to the body detox program for the second time. And another lady who is 50 years old but looked like in her early 40′s lost 8 KG for her first round of extended 15 days body detox program. She did it in year 2003 and able to maintain her weight until now. Her secret to this achievement was regular food intake with 70% full and perform a 6th monthly periodic body detox program.

While I know the effect of this body detox program varies from people to people, but the generic benefit is the ability to pass out the Mucoid Plague from our body without having to go thru medical treatment or surgery.

Grandpa is reading poem from a book at the age of 101 (year 2010) from a distance of 1.5 feet. Not only that, he could remember most of the poem that he has studied at his younger days.

As children and grand children of Foong Kong Soo, are we as healthy as our papa and grandpa ? Should we take him as a example of keeping healthy with exercise and food intake?

I parked my car and waiting for my friend Alan until 7.15am. Then we walked to Line 1 where he introduced his gang. I realized all of them are regular morning golfer who like to walked for exercise as well as the golf game. So, I join one of the flight and started my 9-hole morning golf. It was quite a task for me to pull along the golf club set for 9-hole but I felt relief after I have completed the 9-hole golf after 2 1/2 hours.

I could feel my leg muscle was pulling and body was total wet, but I felt my alertness remain. From then, I knew if I continued to do the morning golf regularly, my fitness could be improved.

As a retiree doing freelance management consulting, I have to maintain my fitness and health in order to perform my duty in consulting. Furthermore, keeping healthy lead to happy lifestyle. So, I decided to join my friend for the morning golf with a change in my sleeping time. I decided to adjust by internet hours to end before 12 MN so that I can catch enough sleep the next morning.

Yet to see if I could do it

Some of you asked email me why am I not take life easy for my retirement? Why am I still want to pursue my Total Quality Management ?  I have a ex-colleague called to offer me a job to set up 6-sigma style improvement section in her bank, another ex-colleague asked me to help her to set up a community blog, another ex-colleague asked me whether I want to join him in China etc  Wow !  So nice of you. I am so touch that you still consider a retired person with such a challenging job. I am so pleased because I could see my true friends who tried to offer me something of value to me as well as to the their organization.

I believe all these well wishes are a result of my KNOWLEDGE.  Now I begin to appreciate one saying which I heard many years ago. It says:-

" Man can get old and die, but KNOWLEDGE remains"

I could not appreciate this saying then as I could not understand how KNOWLEDGE remains when a man is no longer in this world? But now I think hard about it, KNOWLEDGE will remain in this world if you store and keep it soon enough.

Before the Internet millennium, knowledge are stored in the form of books, leaflets, etc and get accessible in the library, own home. But now, you can store in the cyber space and accessible to anyone one via internet. How wonderful can it be when your piece of knowledge are now widely spread around the cyper space.

Yes, I am so pleased this morning that when I did a google search on keyword "swot analysis template", I noted my swot blog appeared on position #3 just  after a popular website. With this high ranking position on google, I received more than 9,500 unique visitors to my blog in the last 30 days as opposed to 909 in May 2009.

With this little achievement, I know I am on the right track with the right tactics to move my blog into top 10 on google search. My next challenge is to maintain it on position top 10 so that more people benefit from my knowledge in SWOT Analysis as well as other Total Quality Management knowledge. Wow ! Is that my Legacy ?

Friends, there is nothing more satisfied in life than you could see your dream come true. I guess with the right goal and determination, anything is possible !!!

Why this time ?

When I receive the retirement notice, it was about 7 weeks notice when last day of service falls on my birthday i.e. 11th November 2009. 7 is a good number for me as I have learnt several things in life which start with this auspicious number 7.To quote some examples:-

1. 7 QC Tools,
2. 7 New Management Tools,
3. 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,
4. 7 Days week
5. 7/11 convenient store
6. 7/24 etc

Also of late, the management has emphasized the approach to bring the corporation to a different height. One of the key strategies was to develop new talent. As such, it was decided to provide opportunities for those young and talented executives who has shown great potential to be a Leader for the organization.

As a head of Continuous Improvement Initiatives myself, I have to prepare for the same. Over the last two years of extended employment, I started to develop my only staff to take over my role. Over the duration of last two years, I have assigned her heavier tasks and given full authority and ownership to carry out her role. Some of her key roles were tto promote, plan and execute her duties and has to cope with all shortcomings. As her supervisor, I tried to guid her along whenever she needed to prepare her to cope with the corporate world. Over the last two years, she has proven to be successful in her new role and has shown great potential to take on new role. And the time is NOW!

Well, when the date touches 11-11-2009, also my 57th birthday, it is time for me to let go and be FREE. I will live a different lifestyle as freedom is on my side. I can fully concentrate to develop my vision in life that is to disseminate my work knowledge and the application of Total Quality Management to the corporate world; non-profit organization; small and medium enterprises; people around me and my newly acquired companion – the cyber space.

I appreciated Internet as a channel of communicating my knowledge to the needy and around the globe  as it is the most powerful and wonderful media I ever dreamed of. Not only it is fast and instant, it is affordable too. The other wonderful features of Internet is it has unlimited expandability with the only one limitation i.e. imagination.

Am I ready for it? To be honest, I have a cross feeling about it. I am not 100% ready as I never had a second job or side business beside working for this organization. Although I had several opportunities offered to me during the last two years, I turned them down because I am loyal to the organization. I always cautioned myself for possible conflict of interest. But I have expected this day will come sooner or later. It could not be possible for my employer to continue my contract as the organization required new thinking.

Moving on…..

I seek to continue to share my knowledge in Business, Operations, Total Quality Management perhaps in several different forms. I will endeavor to serve this conglomerate whenever I am summoned to as it has given me amber opportunities in the past to climb the corporate ladder. And I continue to care for those staffs who have attended my training especially those in the TAG Development Program and QAT Project Teams. There is no better way than to continue to offer my service to them when they needed. Be it a new challenge or mere enhancement of their knowledge. I have served this conglomerate for 15 long years, the longest serving company I ever had in my entire working career.

To ensure my knowledge is reached out to the world, I have started to write articles about Total Quality Management, posted articles about Strategic Planning on my SWOT Analysis Blog , Business Excellence Model such as Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and am planning to expand the scope of my articles to cover the topic more periodically.

To ensure my knowledge is well distributed, I have included hyperlinks on the sidebars of this blog for you to navigate into these topics. I have categorised different aspect of my knowledge in the most appropriate category title.
