Today, 1st May 2010 is the Labor Day which is observed by all people under employment especially for those who called themselves “labor” or workers. It is a public holiday and many labor group take this opportunity to celebrate and get together.
How did you spend your Labor Day? Shopping ? Makan-makan, catching up with friends? Whatever it is, I am sure it is for good cause. For me, I spend most of my time trying to salvage my blog post articles because the server in my Hosting company caught fire since I notices on 23rd April 2010. Until todate, there is no sign of recovery.
Today is a lucky day for me, I managed to recovery most of my blog post from my laptop harddisk and most blog posts were recovered from google cache. But I have to migrate to another hosting company as the original host is still under crisis.
Well, I spend so much time to do the recovery because I used the wrong method to do my blog backup. What happen was I did file transfer from my blog server to my harddisk without knowing I need to backup the database which keep my blog posts. Due to the time consumed to recover the blog, I has an opportunity lost of about USD4-5 a day.
A good lesson for me…..
