I am learning Internet Marketing

Internet Marketing is a hot topic today claimed to be an alternative to conventional marketing. What are the key differences? I research into Internet Marketing last 2 weeks as my post-retirement activities and I have discovered the following key benefits of Internet Marketing.

  1. There are several distinct websites or blogs to differentiate themselves.
  2. Common websites or blogs are categories into content and review websites
  3. Content websites or blogs  provide information about a unique or a mixed of topics
  4. Review  websites or blogs are those provide personal opinion about a product or service after an review is made

Then I realized whichever category of website or blog, all of them tried to get into high google page ranking i.e. on google page #1. The objective is to get noticed whenever someone do a google search and your website or blog appeared on google page #1. And I learn that there are many ways to drive traffic to your website or blog, some are paid while the others are free.

For me, I work on free traffic such as Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ), Search Engine Marketing ( SEM ), Social Networking, Article Marketing etc. This morning, I discovered a traffic system which offer FREE Google Traffic MP3 for immediate download

My Retirement and 57th Birthday Celebration at HHMC

November 11th, 2009

Today, 11th Day of November 2009 marked my 57th birthday as well as my retirement from my 15 years employer m/s Hong Leong. My boss, Mr. Kwek, together with all other HHMC department heads and their respective staffs gathered in the conference room at 6.00 pm to celebrate my birthday. As well as giving me a farewell for my retirement.

I was emotionally unstable, though my retirement falls today but I have not pack my belongings from my office as I was not in the mood to leave the office. All the office staffs included the tea lady gathered to celebrate my birthdays was something I did not expect. The well wishes from them gave me a very comfortable feeling that I am still part of the family of HHMC perhaps as a friend.

A big piece of birthday cake was bought for the occasion and a birthday song was sang for me. Before I can perform the cake cutting ceremony, I was asked to make a wish. So, I make my wish aloud as follows:-

  • I Wish all of us good health and wealth follow by happiness.
  • I also wished HHMC business continue to grow while taking up all challenges ahead. I

I thank the Group especially Mr. Kwek allowed me stay with my job for an extended 2 years contract and I wish that all the HHMC staffs will stay with the company until retirement. I shared my little discovery in Internet Marketing experience while I was on vocation at Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai first week of Nov-09. I discovered a tactic to get my blog post listed on google page#1 within hours. I could not believed it could be done so I tested three more blog posts with the same tactics and it worked. Therefore, besides using traditional A&P and relationship marketing, I wish HHMC also look into Internet Marketing as additional marketing channel to promote HHMC business and counter some of its business challenges. After all, many Internet Marketing techniques are free.
